The Wheatland Lions Club had a food fundraiser during the Wheatland town wide yard sale this year. They are in charge of the community park in Wheatland. Right now the Lions Club is trying to raise money to enlarge the park once again. They recently took down a house behind the park to have more space to possibly add a basketball court and a few other things.
The whole reason for the event is to “Raise money to take care of the park,” said William Powell.
You will also find the Wheatland Lions Club at the Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays selling their Homemade Ice Cream. This is a normal fundraiser for them, but during the Wheatland yard sales and other events they try to have a food fundraiser.
