Washington Fire Wednesday Causes Major Damage to Home
A fire in Washington last night caused several fire fighters to be called in. The fire broke out at 9:40 PM at a house located at 610 Center Street. When fire fighters arrived, flames were shooting out from the back side of the home.
The house is owned by Daniel Schnell and was occupied by Jessie Ellis and Shannon Willoughby. Neither Ellis or Willoughby were home when the fire started.
Fire fighters were on the scene over 4 hours battling the blaze. The American Red Cross was called to assist the victims to help them find a place to stay.
According to fire officials, the damage was caused by a wire behind a clothes drier. The house sustained major damage in the fire.l
