Wanda Lucille (Spark) Johnson, 80, of Oaktown, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Wanda was born October 2, 1933 in Knox county, the daughter of Walter and Tilly Mae (Garner) Spark. She retired as an RN from Good Samaritan Hospital after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Oaktown First Christian Church. Wanda lived her life for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to cook, knit, and crochet.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Marcellene Johnson and her fiance Rick Blacketer of Oaktown; son, Tim Johnson of Oaktown; three grandchildren, Jennifer Lett, Timothy Johnson Jr., and Samantha Johnson; six great-grandchildren.
Along with her husband, Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Donnie Johnson; grandson Christopher Brough; sisters, Virginia Freeman and Eve Mae Bridgewater; and brother Walter Spark.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Oaktown Chapel with Rev. Todd Barnhizer officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at the Oaktown Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
