Vincennes Rivet and Washington Boys Tennis Face Off in Sectional Season Matchup

The Vincennes Rivet Patriots faced the Washington Hatchets in a tennis match held on the campus of Vincennes University, on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, in Vincennes Ind.

The final score of the match was the Patriots one and the Hatchets with four.  The singles match between Jacob Overton, of the Washington Hatchets, and Mitchell Hamilton, of Rivet ended with 3-6, 3-6 with Hamilton scoring the win.

The other singles competition consisting of David Evans, of the Patriots, and Jayden Barley, of the Washington Hatchets ended in a 6-3,6-2 win for Barley.

For the doubles, Rivet’s Ben Templin and Thomas Vieke faced Michael Ramsey and Jon Harner of Washington.  The Patriots first team doubles fell to the Hatchets with the final score of 6-0, 6-4.

The second set of doubles with the Hatchets, Clay Walker and Ben Lambert faced the Patriots team of, Connor Klein and Hunter Ingram.  The Hatchets second set of doubles won  6-3, 6-1.
