Vincennes Police At Full Staff

The Vincennes City Police along with Mayor Joe Yochum have officially sworn in 2 more officers to make the Vincennes City Police department fully staffed.
At Monday’s meeting, the Board swore in Lucas Wallace from Terre Haute, Indiana and Jordan Christie from Washington, Indiana. Both men joined the force last week, but were officially sworn in today. The 2 new members up the force to full staff, something the Vincennes City Police Department hasn’t seen in a long time.
They will each have field training in Vincennes for the next several weeks, then will have more training in at the Southwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. Vincennes City Police Chief Dusty Luking says it can be as long as 9 months before an officer is turned loose to patrol on their own.
