Two school shootings in one day reported.

Police in St. Louis responded to reports of a shooting at a business school.  The “St. Louis Post-Dispatch” says the shooting occurred at the Stevens Institute of Business and Arts.  At least two people are reported shot, one of them the suspected gunman.

Police are hoping the victim and suspect in a St. Louis, Missouri business school shooting will survive.  St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson says the alleged shooter is a part-time student at the Stevenson Institute of Business and Arts.  Dotson didn’t want to speculate on a motive for the shooting but it’s believed there was a conflict over the student’s financial aid.

No identities have been released, but sources say the victim is Stevenson’s financial aid director, Greg Elsenrath.

The second shooting happened late Tuesday evening in Hazard, Kentucky.  WKYT  reported that two people had been killed in a shooting at Hazard Community & Technical College.  A third person was critically injured.

Police reported that two suspects had been apprehended.  It is not known if they were directly associated with the shooting.
