(Oakland City, Indiana) Two Oakland City men were arrested for manufacturing Meth and each of the men received numerous charges against them.
On Sunday, August 25, the Oakland City Police Department received information regarding illegal drug activity occurring at 328 West Dale Street in Oakland City. Officer Collins started his investigation and was able to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
Around 11:00 a.m., August 26, Oakland City Police, Indiana State Police and Gibson County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the residence and executed the search warrant. During their search, officers found ingredients commonly used to manufacture meth, an active one-pot meth lab and small amounts of meth and marijuana. The residence is extremely close to Wood Memorial High School.
Eddie Alka, 45, of Oakland City and James Norrick, 60, of Oakland City were arrested for Manufacturing Meth Within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Meth within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of Precursors, Possession of Marijuana, Dumping Controlled Substance Waste, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Alka and Norrick were both taken to the Gibson County Jail where they are currently being held without bond.
