Troopers Arrest Vincennes Couple for Possessing Meth

A Vincennes couple was arrested Thursday afternoon for possessing meth.

Indiana State Police searched the Vincennes area for 38 year-old Shane Burke of Vincennes, after obtaining information a felony warrant had been issued for his arrest for failing to appear in Lawrence County, Illinois, for possession of methamphetamine and a controlled substance.

At around  6:30 p.m. yesterday evening, troopers received information Burke was at a residence located at 429 North 3rd Street, Apartment 2, Vincennes. When troopers arrived at the residence the homeowner answered the door. A quick search of the apartment was conducted and troopers found Burke and his girlfriend, 21 year-old Stephanie Snider, in one of the bedrooms.

Troopers also found meth, drug paraphernalia and 18 used syringes.

Both Burke and Snider was arrested.   The homeowner was not arrested.

Burke was booked on  Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Warrant for Failure to Appear for Possession of Meth and a Controlled Substance out of  Lawrence County, Illinois.  Snider was booked on Possession of Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
