Price May Go Up On Indy Sporting Events
Going to an Indianapolis sporting event may cost you a little more in the near future. A final vote on raising event admission and car rental taxes in Marion County is scheduled for January 28th. Mayor Greg Ballard and council leaders want to increase the admission tax to ten-percent, while the local auto rental excise would increase to six-percent. Under the proposal, the money collected from the tax hikes would go to Indianapolis public safety agencies the first year and they would get 25-percent every year after.
