Talks may resume the schedule (nhl.com)
Negotiations resume tonight
The NHL and Players’ Association will meet tonight in New York as the sides continue to work toward a new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The league has been reviewing the Union’s counter-offer from Monday and the sides are currently in conference calls to discuss various provisions of the CBA offerings.
Those calls are expected to last most of the afternoon. Large-group negotiations will start tonight around 5 p.m. Eastern.
The NHL’s proposal last week included a 48-game season which would start no later than January 19th.
The deal is for ten years with an opt-out clause after eight seasons. Games have already been cancelled through January 14th.
