Loogootee Schools Get Technology Grant and Save on Fuel
A Loogootee School will be getting a $5,000 grant for interactive white boards.
At Tuesday’s Loogootee School Board Meeting, Loogootee Intermediate/Junior High Principal John Mullen told the board that the grant for the upgrades came from the National Education Association Foundation.
In other business, the Loogootee School Corp will be paying a little less for fuel. Since the current fuel contract that was signed in 2009, gas has gone up $1.36 with diesel going up $1.41 in the same time period. The schools will pay $.27 less this quarter on diesel and $.57 less on regular fuel.
Also at the board meeting, the board announced that the Lady Lions State Runner-Up Volleyball team will be honored at tonight’s Loogootee game at Jack Butcher Arena. The event will take place between the JV and varsity game.
