Local Radio Personality & General Manager Dies In Fatal Motorcycle Accident
(Washington, Indiana) — A local radio station General Manager and personality dies in a fatal motorcycle accident early Wednesday morning near Washington.
According to police, 46 year-old Bradly D. Deetz of Vincennes was driving a 2008 Yamaha on Old US 50 (East) approaching the intersection of County Road 150 W. Ernest B. Colbert was driving a 1999 Chevy pickup pulling a small trailer. Colbert stopped at the stop sign and stated he look both ways and did not see any oncoming traffic.
Colbert then pulled into the intersection, heading south to cross Old US 50, when Deetz ran into the passenger side front wheel of the pickup. After impact, Deetz was thrown from the motorcycle into the side of the pickup. Police say, Deetz was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Deetz was transported to Daviess Community Hospital for treatment, where he was later flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he was pronounced dead.
Deetz was General Manager of the DLC Media company and was also a radio personality on the morning show at WFML in Vincennes.
Arrangements are pending at this time. Deetz is survived by his wife Kristi Deetz and his two children.
