Local City Proclaims Clergy Appreciation Week
A local city is proclaiming this week Clergy Appreciation Week.
Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum made the proclamation prior to Thursday’s Civitan Club Annual Clergy Appreciation lunch that was held at Vincennes University.
The lunch topic was Strengthening Congregations through Clergy Renewal.
According the keynote speaker, Dr. Rober Saler, there is a grant program for up to $50,000 to pay expenses of a renewal program for a pastor and family as well as needs during the absence of a pastor. The purpose of that grant is to strengthen church congregations by providing opportunities for pastors to step away briefly from their persistent obligations for renewal and reflection engagement.
