Local Church Raises Money For Missionary Trip To Build Houses In Quatemala
Thursday Church in Vincennes is raising money to go on a missionary trip to build two houses in Quatemala.
Friday night, the church held a Taco Dinner and Silent Auction, Paster Debby Salters was overwhelmed by the turnout.
The Church needs to raise $16,000 to build both house, in which the group of church members plan to have both houses built in four days. Berry Clegg, Media Director for Thursday Church said, there will be 40 members going on the trip and that’s one of the reasons for the fundraiser.
Just after the silent auction ended, organizers say, they raised just over $3,000 from the auction.
