VINCENNES – The Vincennes Lincoln Boys Soccer team lost a tough one to the Northview Knights 2-1 at the Alice Pitch Saturday.

Lincoln scored their lone goal in the second half off the foot of Zach Jones. Northview scored their goals on a penalty kick and a goals with 1:11 to play in the game.

Even though today’s game was not a win, Vincennes Lincoln Head Coach, Evan Stoll, mentioned that he was happy with his team’s performance.

“We got on the board,” said Stoll as a positive. “We finally got some offense going. Four games without a goal and not much to show in the shot column, but today, we made some changes and moved David Atkinson into the midfield and it changed some things. Defensivly, we played well. A little bit unlucky for us.”

Heading to the next game, Coach Stoll mentioned that he was going to build off of today’s performance.

“We are looking to build on this; everything was great,” said Stoll. We have couple of days off with the Holiday and we will rest up, practice for three days, and get ready for the Hoosier Cup.

Lincoln plays in the Michael O’Day division in the Hoosier Cup along with Washington Catholic, Providence, and South Bend Adams.
