Is A Local Town Losing A Bank?
Rumors are going around about a local bank closing it’s doors in a small area town.
The First Financial Bank is rumored to be closing in the Monroe City area. We have not confirmed it yet, but according to inside sources with Hometown News, there are reports that the bank will shut its doors on March 1st.
We have attempted to contact the branch manager of the Monroe City First Financial Bank, but our call there has not been returned. We did however reach the First Financial Bank media relations department at their Terre Haute headquarters about the situation. We were told by the media relations department quote, “We have no comment at this time” end quote.
