Irish Festival of Dance, Music and Storytelling

The fifth annual Irish Festival of Dance, Music and Storytelling, sponsored by the Friends of the Knox County Public Library, will take place this Saturday evening, March 15, 2014 at the Fortnightly Building located at 421 N. 6th Street in Vincennes.  The evening will start at 6:30 with  storytelling by Lillian Klipsch.  Local Irish Musicians including, Graham Draughon playing the flute, Steve Johnson on guitar, bouzouki and mandolin, Terri King playing fiddle and bodhran (Irish frame drum), Richard King with the Irish Button Accordion, Darby Patrick O’Flannery will be playing the bodhran, Tiffany Piazza with the fiddle and flute and Tim Piazza playing the mandolin and guitar.  Local guitarists, vocalist and composer, Carrie D’Esposito, will also be featured and perform some of her original pieces.  Copies of D’Esposito’s CD will be available for purchase during intermission and after the program.  The Celtic Motion Dance Ensemble will also perform and teach traditional Irish Dancing.  This event is free and open to the public so bring the family and celebrate everything Irish.
