(Indianapolis, IN)  –  Indiana State Police are not in favor of a new mobile alert system that will notify you if a child is abducted.

Captain David Bursten says he is afraid the loud tone will startle drivers and cause them to crash.

{Captain David Bursten}   The FCC created the commercial mobile alert system and it automatically reaches 97-percent of the population.  Bursten says Indiana decided not to participate and ISP is looking into its own mobile AMBER Alert system.
