Indiana Opts Out Of Mobile AMBER Alert Notification
(Indianapolis, IN) – Indiana State Police are not in favor of a new mobile alert system that will notify you if a child is abducted.
Captain David Bursten says he is afraid the loud tone will startle drivers and cause them to crash.
{Captain David Bursten} The FCC created the commercial mobile alert system and it automatically reaches 97-percent of the population. Bursten says Indiana decided not to participate and ISP is looking into its own mobile AMBER Alert system.
