(Princeton, Indiana) An Illinois woman was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and OWI.
On Saturday, October 12, around 9:51 a.m. Deputy Ballard observed a vehicle in the breakdown land merge onto US 41 in an unsafe manner causing another vehicle in the lane to lock up their brakes.
Deputy Ballard made a traffic stop and during the investigation the driver, Maria C. Mulford, 62, of Golden Gate, Illinois gave consent for a vehicle search. He found a small amount of Marijuana and a pipe used to smoke Marijuana and he then had Mulford perform several tests to check for reasons for her erratic driving. Deputy Ballard discovered that Maria Mulford had been driving under the influence of Marijuana.
Maria C. Mulford was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana Under 30 grams.
Mulford was taken to the Gibson County Jail where she remains in custody on a $2600 bond.
