Patti Page
(Hollywood, CA) – Flowers now adorn the star of recording artist Patti Page on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“The Tennessee Waltz” spent three weeks at No. 2 on Billboard‘s country singles chart, as well as 13 weeks at No. 1 on the pop chart in 1950.
Page’s rich catalog also includes pop standards such as “Old Cape Cod,” “I Went to Your Wedding” and “(How Much Is That) Doggie in the Window.”
The Hollywood Historic Trust placed a floral wreath on the star in remembrance of the “Tennessee Waltz” singer. Page reportedly died on New Year’s Day in Encinitas.
Page is survived by her son Daniel O’Curran, daughter Kathleen Ginn and sister Peggy Layton. She was 85.
