Gilbert’s Restaurant & Pub To Open In Vincennes

(Vincenness) –   Vincennes is getting a new restaurant, Gilbert’s Restaurant and Pub.

In a press conference held today in Vincennes, L.J. Benjamin, AZ, and Micheal Sievers announced they will immediately begin construction of the new Gilbert’s Restaurant and Pub at 1350 Willow Street In Vincennes.  The new restaurant will be located in front of Benjamin and Sievers Marriott TownPlace Suites Hotel.

Gilbert’s will be a 5,000 square foot dining facility, which will include a lounge with state of the art audio visual systems.  The facility will have two separate dining rooms, which will collectively seat 134 guest.  In addition, a lounge will seat 55 guest.  Gilbert’s will provide an upscale dining experience in addition to a price conscious menu.

The $2 million restaurant will be owned by Gilbert’s One, LLC and will employ up to 40 people.  The menu will consist  of  steaks, seafood, chicken and salad selection.

Financing of the new restaurant is being provided by First Vincennes Savings Bank.  Project Architect is Larry Donovan of Donovan and Donovan of Vincennes.

Benjamin and Sievers’s  Marriott TownePlace Suite in Vincennes recently received National Recognition by Marriott as a Platinum Hotal.  This award placed TownePlace Suites as one of the top ten in the nation for guest satisfaction.  Benjamin stated that our only negative comment was the lack of dining and lounge opportunities.

Currently Gibert’s is scheduled to be open by January 2014.
