Giant Squid Seen Off Southern California Coastline

California is the sight of Giant Squid sightings.
Giant Humboldt squid are being spotted along the Southern California coastline near Dana Point.
The “Los Angeles Times” quotes local residents as saying the supersized calamari were seen the past few days near the surface about two miles off the beach.
Most of the squid weigh anywhere from three-to-five pounds.
Some local fisherman say they’ve been known to catch squid weighing as much as 25 pounds.
This is the first record run of the sealife since September 2011.
