Future of Executive Inn On Shoulders of the Court System (VIDEO)
Bids were accepted on Monday at the Vincennes Board of Public Works meeting for the demolition of the Executive Inn, but those bids may be for note as the counsel for the owners of the closed down hotel filed an 11 o’clock motion in the court system to fix deficiencies in the structure.
Attorney Robert rock claims that the city denied the owner, Mark Valdes, the proper permits to make repairs to the building. Mayor Joe Yochum commented on the situation with the executive Inn.
City Attorney J. David Roellgen gave HTN the strategy they will use if another chapter is added to the battle.
The ball is in the courts hands as to whether they will hear another chapter of the Executive Inn verses the city of Vincennes. The Valdes family can still appeal to the Indiana court of appeals.
