(Vincennes, Indiana) Multiple arrests were made during a shoplifting incident from Walmart in Vincennes.
On Thursday, September 19, at 3:33 p.m. VPD dispatch was called in regards to a theft that happened at the Walmart Supercenter. The shoplifters left the store and were making their way down Hwy 41.
The traffic stop was made at Hucks Gas Station on 6th Street. Jaylen F. Jackson, 20, of Gary, Chester Covington, 19, of Gary, Michael M. Taylor, 20, of Chicago, and Curtis D. McDonald, 19, of Hammond were detained and further information was obtained by the Walmart Loss Prevention employees. All of the occupants of the car were under the age of 21, but had several bottles of sealed alcoholic beverages totaling over $299 worth of Walmart merchandise.
Jackson, Covington, and Taylor were each charged with Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by a Minor and Theft. McDonald was only charged with Possession of Alcoholic Beverage by a Minor.
They were transported to the Knox County Jail and booked.
