He allegedly shot a man in the neck just under three weeks ago while trying to buy a car, and last week, in a separate incident, the 25-year-old Dumes was charged with criminal recklessness and carrying a gun without a license.  According to an affidavit, Dumes shot the man early on January 11th.  Two days before, Dumes was reportedly firing a gun into the house of his brother.  Dumes’ initial hearing is this afternoon.

Dumes played for Vincennes University and averaged a team-high 16.9 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists for  Everick Sullivan squad.

Dumes was suspended while at IU in 2009 for actions against a Michigan State Player, but according to Troy Guthrie and the Sports Information Department at Vincennes University, Dumes was not in any trouble at Vincennes.
