Fire Destroys Home In Petersburg (Video)

Fire destroys a home in Petersburg this morning.
Dennis Iafrate was at Walmart getting groceries when he received call from the Pike County Central Dispatch wanting to know if anyone was at his home and that his home was on fire.
Iafrate told HTN he rushed home to find his house totally engulfed in flames. Petersburg Fire Department called for assistance from Patoka Township, Jefferson Township, and Harrison Township in Monroe City.
Iafrate’s three dogs managed to escape from the home.
The house located at 1123 State Road 356 was considered total loss. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
The Petersburg Fire Department remained on scene as of this afternoon.
