Fire at Mid-States Rubber Factory Burns Roof
A grinding machine sparks a fire inside Mid-States Rubber Factory in Princeton.
Fire Officials say a sparks from a rubber press ignited material that was sucked into a ventilation fan in the ceiling – pulling the fire onto the roof of the building. Firefighters were able put out the fire quickly though, using water hoses and buckets.
