First responders are recounting a gruesome scene from last summer’s Colorado theater shooting.
Testimony is underway in what’s expected to be a week-long preliminary hearing for accused shooter James Holmes.
He’s charged with more than 160 crimes in the deaths of 12 people and the dozens of others wounded in the gunfire.
One officer said there was so much blood in the back of his car, he could hear it spilling around as he drove victims to the hospital.
He was also near tears as he told the court of the motionless bodies strewn throughout the Denver-area theater.
