Lovie Smith is out as head coach
Looks like the Chicago Bears need a new head coach.
An official announcement was posted on the Chicago bears website this morning.
Smith has been the Bears head coach since 2004, leading Chicago to the Super Bowl in 2006. But the Bears have only made the playoffs once since then, losing in the NFC Championship Game in 2010.
Smith received strong support from wide out Brandon Marshall and running back Matt Forte yesterday, who said they’d run through a wall for him.
