WASHINGTON – The Washington Hatchets lost a tough one to the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs by a final score of 56-20.

Washington started off well with an Austin Moody Run for 60 yards to the 1. Moody on the 1 fumbled the ball and Evansville Bosse scored after getting the ball at the 20. 20 seconds later, Bosse recovered a muffed punt and scored again to make it 13-0.

Washington got to within five in the contest at 25-20. Bosse scored just before the half to make it 31-20 at the intermission.

In the second half, it was all Evansville Bosse as they outscored Washington 25-0 and ended up defeating the Washington Hatchets 56-20.

Austin Moody left the game with a leg injury, but had over 200 all purpose yards in the contest.

The Washington Hatchets are back in action Friday when they travel to Princeton to take on the Tigers. Princeton is 2-0 after they defeated the Pike Central Chargers 35-14.
