Death being investigated
Indiana Conservation officers say it appears a bald eagle found near 8338 Base Road in Gibson County may have died by accidental electrocution.
The bird was found just under power lines but there was no blood and no other objects were found in or around the animal.
The exact cause of death has not been released but death by electrocution has not been excluded. Not too long ago another bald eagle was killed in the same manner in Posey County and its death was ruled as electrocution.
An autopsy will be performed by the US Fish and Wildlife Association.
