2 Men Arrested in Vincennes on Drug Charges

Indiana State Police arrested 2 men in Vincennes Thursday Morning on drug related charges.

At 12:26 AM, Indiana State Police observed a 1999 Toyota Camry driving 34 miles an hour in a 20 mile per hour zone on second street. In the pursuit, officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the operator of the vehicle crossed the State Street tracks while the railroad signal was flashing. Officers caught up with the Camry in the area of 6th and St. Clair.

At the scene, officers identified the driver as 22-year-old Jeremy Cooper. A search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of meth and drug paraphernalia. Cooper was arrested for driving while intoxicated with marijuana and meth.  A passenger in Cooper’s vehicle 21-year-old Damon Kemp of Cannelberg was arrested for poseession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were booked into the Knox County Jail.
